Gail Gieseke, DVM
Dr. Gieseke was awarded her DVM degree from the University of Minnesota in 1991. Her special interests are dentistry and surgery. Dr. Gieseke lives in rural Waconia with her husband, Mike, and two high school aged sons. The family pets include: Maggie, an English Setter; Penny, a Golden Retriever; one cat, Bob; two bunnies; a leopard gecko lizard; and three horses two Arabians, Amir and Annie, and Bambi, a Quarter Horse.
Dr. Gieseke’s hobbies include travel, canoeing in the Boundary Waters Canoe Area (BWCA), and being a ‘sports-mom’!





Jody Elsen, DVM
Dr. Elsen has an undergraduate B.S. from the College of St. Thomas and received her DVM degree from the University of Minnesota in 1991. She says: “I made the decision in first grade that veterinary medicine was for me. I grew up in a rural country town and was always surrounded by pets. Initially it was the animals that attracted me but with time it became clear that the owners and the relationships that I formed with them were equally important and rewarding. The wonderful relationships and bonding that are formed between the pets, their owners, and me are the most rewarding part my job!”
Dr. Elsen grew up in the Hamel/Wayzata area and has been a resident of Chaska for many years. Dr. Elsen’s family includes a wonderful husband, and two daughters. The household is complete for the time with the addition of two Golden Retrievers, Jake and Norman; two cats, Eyeball and Iris; a Bearded Dragon, George; and two rats, Rodee and Decon.
Doug Allen, DVM
Dr. Allen did his undergraduate studies at the University of Nebraska, and earned his DVM degree from Ohio State University in1988. He completed an internship in small animal medicine and surgery with The Sacramento Animal Medical Group.
Dr. Allen, his wife, and four children are transplants from rural south central Nebraska to Minnesota. Dr. Allen had been a stay-at-home dad for some years. Prior to that, he worked full time at a veterinary emergency clinic. Since coming to Minnesota, he has returned to working at a veterinary emergency clinic on a part time basis. Joining Chaska Valley Veterinary Clinic has allowed him a more consistent work schedule. Dr. Allen says he has enjoyed having been able to stay at home with the kids and that Chaska Valley veterinary Clinic is a good fit for he and family. The four children are all attending the Chaska public schools.
Dr. Allen’s wife is employed in Chaska as a Family Practice MD and enjoys scrap-booking and exercising. Dr. Allen enjoys taking the family dog, a Labrador, Bo, on walks and spending time with the family.
Jennifer Weinberger, DVM
Dr. Weinberger got a BS in Biology from St. Cloud State University and her DVM degree from the University of Minnesota in 2001. She enjoys dermatology, preventative medicine and education, and getting new puppies and kitties started on the right paw!
Dr. Weinberger is married and they have one son. The four footed family members include Indy, a Shih-Tzu Poodle, and Cami their cat.
