Jody Elsen, DVMDr. Jody Elsen

Dr. Elsen has an undergraduate B.S. from the College of St. Thomas and received her DVM degree from the University of Minnesota in 1991.  She says:  “I made the decision in first grade that veterinary medicine was for me.  I grew up in a rural country town and was always surrounded by pets.  Initially it was the animals that attracted me – but with time it became clear that the owners and the relationships that I formed with them were equally important and rewarding.  The wonderful relationships and bonding that are formed between the pets, their owners, and me are the most rewarding part my job!”

Dr. Elsen grew up in the Hamel/Wayzata area and has been a resident of Chaska for many years.  Dr. Elsen’s family includes a wonderful husband, and two daughters.  The household is complete for the time with the addition of two Golden Retrievers, Jake and Norman; two cats, Eyeball and Iris; a Bearded Dragon, George; and two rats, Rodee and Decon.
